The app is extremely slow. It doesnt even open photo library anymore.

Used this for years. Now , on new iPhone (6) it freezes up under so many circumstances I cant tell what is doing it. For sure the whole "grab" doesnt work at all. Screen just goes black and freezes. Try to access settings, freezes. So sad. Probably company makes similar app under different brand name. So Ill buy a different one.… likely from them.

Version 2.0.2 Update Still broken after all these tears. Still no auto or manual way to flag numbers that have been completed. Version 1 automatically flagged completed numbers. Even on paper I "X" out numbers as I complete them. Without this feature Sudoku Grab is a dinosaur. Im off to find a replacement Sudoku. Bummer… Critical Update version 2.0: The Version 2.0 Update of Sudoku Grab is the absolute worst update of an iOS app that I have ever seen. The best Sudoku app ever just became an "also ran". Worse yet, the last version 1 update doesnt work on iOS8. I wont go into all the new flaws, because others have covered them well. But what I will do is show you how to get back to version 1.x. To get back to the original version: 1) Begin by making sure that "Auto-Update" is turned off in Settings. 2) Deleting the new version from your device. 3) Open iTunes on your computer, but dont login to your iTunes account (I dont know if not logging in is important). 4) Connect your device to your computer. 5) Select your device in iTunes. 6) Select the Apps tab. 7) Find the old version of Sudoku Grab and select "Install". The "Install" button will change to "Will Install". 8) Apply and Sync. The old version should be back on your iOS device. At this point, if all other apps are up-to-date, your AppStore icon will show a number "1", indicating that you have an app to be updated. Also remember that when you have several apps to be updated, update them one at a time. In other words, do NOT select "Update All" or you will re-install the flawed update to Sudoku Grab. Note that even the latest Version 1 update doesnt work on iOS8. You can make it work in a fashion, by quitting the app after each game. Good luck.

They just made the first changes to the app in at least a year and it is HORRIBLE! I hope I can revert to the previous version from iTunes because I HATE the changes to the interface. I have had this app on my iPhone and iPad for maybe five years and play it frequently and now the developers just decided to turn it into something terrible. It is uglier and harder to play. Very very very disappointing.

I was loving this app. Now, something has changed. I tried deleting it. Had to buy it again. I was hoping that would fix it. What a wast of money. It still doesnt work properly. Freezes at the end of a game. Doesnt hold previous games. I dont know what you did to it, except that you ruined it.

Im sorry to hear so many people below having trouble with this app. It has crashed on me assigning a tag before but otherwise am able to scan puzzles and okay them through very nicely. It also does just fine detecting when you put an erroneous number in. Works well on my 6+!

NEW UPDATE: May 18, 2015 - I see nothing that indicates that a new version has been released, downloaded, and installed. However, sometime in the last couple of weeks, this app began working PERFECTLY again, making it my goto Sudoku game once more. Go figure? UPDATE: Below is my original review of this once great app, but things have changed ... Oh how they have changed. Months ago, simple functions, like accessing my photos and, once accessed, loading the selected photo, began to take 30 seconds or more to occur. NOW, this app doesnt work at all. It has become useless. Shame on the developer for allowing this to happen. ------- This is my favorite sudoku app and I spend at least 30 mins with it (and often more) every day, but a truly superb additional feature, for advanced users, would be the ability to MASS CHANGE NOTES FROM ANY COLOR TO ANY OTHER COLOR. Meaning, one could specify, "please turn all red notes to green" for example. This would be a simple function to add and would save me between 20% and 40% of my time every game, allowing me that much more time to actually play the game. Please ... Thanks, Jay

The app now freezes. Completely non functioning

Ever since ios8 this once fantastic app is nearly useless. After the initial install it works great, but the go do something else and come back and you can no longer get to a game. The app hangs on the first screen touch. The certain way to fix it is to uninstall and reinstall but then after the first play you are right back to it hanging.

I love this app, but every time I try to play it, it freezes up. Very frustrating!
